CCSI Has Expanded Software Management Capabilities in Canada
In March 2008, CCSI announced that its Canadian subsidiary, CCSI Technology Solutions Corp., had acquired SaltSpring Software Inc. of London, Ontario, a dedicated hardware and software reseller with Microsoft Large Account Reseller (LAR) status.
With the acquisition of SaltSpring, CCSI will assume the new status of a North American LAR for Microsoft to resell software in Canada, allowing CCSI to extend its leadership in this region. The new LAR status complements and broadens the successful partnership between CCSI and Microsoft as the two organizations have worked together for more than a decade.
CCSI has integrated the SaltSpring offering – which includes software licensing; hardware and software fulfillment and acquisition; custom configuration and implementation; hardware support resources; and consulting services – into the company’s award-winning portfolio of infrastructure management services, application services, systems integration and procurement services. In addition to establishing Microsoft LAR status in Canada, the acquisition will strengthen CCSI’s existing software business by integrating SaltSpring’s complementary expertise in managing software licensing, purchasing, renewals and compliance within Canada.
CCSI has a solid understanding of Microsoft’s licensing programs (EA, Select and Open) and product offerings and is equipped with a dedicated team of software licensing experts who help clients understand licensing agreements as well as all facets of Microsoft-related programs, procurement options and processes. SaltSpring was the only North American LAR to win the Microsoft Operational Excellence Award from Microsoft Licensing every year since its inception. Additionally, CompuCom is Gold certified in Canada for Microsoft.
